Summer Pay & Summer Skip

Summer Pay

For those employees who do not receive paychecks during the summer months, a Summer Pay Club Account is available to help you set aside money from your regular paycheck for the months you do not work. With a Summer Pay Account, you decide how much you want to set aside for your time off during the summer.

  • Funds are automatically transferred from each paycheck to your Summer Pay Club Account.
  • During the summer, funds are automatically disbursed to your Kern Schools Savings or Checking account.

Summer Skip

Adjusting your pay to account for the summer can be difficult, which is why Kern Schools offers Summer Skip. Summer Skip allows school employees the option of amortizing a loan over a ten or eleven month period. This means you can be payment free for up to two months when you are not collecting a paycheck.

Sign up for Summer Pay or Summer Skip today. For complete details or more information, contact us on Live Chat, visit any of our conveniently located branches around Kern County, or call our Communications Center at (661) 833-7900 / (800) 221-3311 (if outside of Bakersfield) for further assistance.
